Saw the Body during the Body/Thou split set tour. Fucking incredible. It was just a sonic experience. The full wash of sound felt similar to Swans in some ways in that the "sound" was also separate from the music and it was weirdly out of body in that sense.

Having now seen them live, it's cause they're fucking malicious with their gear xD
Also they're pretty cool dudes.

Scott Cortez posted the pedalboard he's bringing to Japan for Astrobrite shows: http://www.facebook.com/astrobrite/phot ... =1&theater
He always seems to do well with really bog standard stuff.
[the astronaut pedal is an EHX Turnip Greens with better artwork, btw. Tougher stuff to make out: Digitech X-Series DF-7 Distortion Factory, Line6 verbzilla, and Mr. Black Eterna gold edition reverb.]

Doyle had mentioned he wanted to gather sonic energy in Indiana to broadcast in a transmission that would eventually lead to what he described as perfect enlightenment.
Through an unknown source the band had located a cave in the middle of nowhere that they wanted to record in. Making the video has definitely changed my outlook on nature and the connection we have with our surroundings. However I wasn’t fully committed to the Starchild cause, but I am still proud of the video we captured.

His Microbrute board is rad... I'm totally stealing that idea because trying to put it on a stand is a hassle given how tiny it is. Also gonna try it with the HM3 now

I can't find anything about this... got a pic or link to an article? Or a timecode in a video?

I was on the verge of an anxiety attack waiting for an opportunity to ask Chip if I could check out his board. I guess it's because their music is so dark&hateful, I imagined him to be really introverted and mysterious hahahah I almost didn't, but the opportunity presented itself and he invited me on up. he was fucking awesome. "prepare to be underwhelmed" were his words, but I found his set up to be fucking rad. it's always awesome seeing those trogotronics in the wild. his is a 556 I think. I recognized the MB and he went nuts about it. apparently the spot was occupied by a tape machine before but it shit out. asked him if he was able to sustain notes with it and he demonstrated, pretty much sold the thing to me. he started talking about the cv patches, I tried asking him what exactly do they do and he had no fuckin cluethe look on his face was fucking gold "if it sounds good I keep it if it sounds bad I change
" the show was about to turn into a geartalk, so awesome. very fun and humbling experience. it was also so insanely loud.. could feel it reverberating throughout my body. unfortunately had to dip right after so I missed out on Full Of Hell & hangz

anyone know what the amps are besides the Sunn??
Fever, I'm talking about the first pic in this. It's literally just an MB on a pedalboard with the pedals sandwiched around it.
EDIT: I'm dumb and didn't realize there were like 3 whole pages after my post. Cloakroom is cool as hell as well

Does anyone have rig pics for Converge? Preferably Nate's set up from Axe To Fall or Kurt's from All We Love

Ahhhhh, gotcha!

But yeah, synth on a board works like a champ... Used to do this with an SH-101 (and later a Novation BassStation) and a couple pedals back in the day because those tiny fuckers and X stands don't get on at all...

You could probably just hit up Kurt on Facebook or Instagram or whatever. Seems like a pretty open dude,

Man, I gave up on Run for Cover records a while back after having people thrust bands onto me and going on and on when I said 'not for me', but I am really, really into this band. Thanks for the heads up!

They've must have had a bad night when I saw em than

Dont get me wrong, that washed out sound is part of what I like about Cloakroom, but when I saw em they -or their sound guy- went waaaaaay overkill on the reverb. The vocals were barely audible, even though the volume/mix was fine. Everything was just super messy, blurry, muddy. Real shame, I expected a lot from that show, really dig that band
