Techno. Chasing after some of those weird sampled sounds has led to a whole lot of discovery for me.

tangent, there used to be a venue in youngstown ohio named nyabinghi. it had NOTHING to do w/ rasta though, was more like a dirty/metal/biker bar, don't know where it got the name when it was created...

The Delfonics, Medieval and renaissance choral music, Thin Lizzy, Doc Watson, Allman Bros., and a world of other things which probably wouldn't be easily recognized by a listener. I hear them obviously. But I know where to look/listen for them. I like threads like these :D
EDIT: Perhaps my most unusual influences are the sounds that can be heard in swamps. Alligators bellowing, mosquitoes/flies/bees buzzing, cottonmouths hissing, bubbles, crows...my Phantom Octave really captures many of these sounds, specifically the insects, snakes, and alligators.

Black Metal's also a pretty big influence on us, and Ulver in particular. Especially on the last EP.
