I kinda like how weird Bongos are. Dunno. That green is awesome.

Of course, the problem with a cranked DOD250 is that while it's touch sensitive and responds to dynamics, if you pluck the strings quietly you get that "At Giza" slinkiness and if you bash away you get that thunder... but it's really difficult to resist that temptation... and OM are pretty well known amongst fans of the loud. Too close to cop for personal creative use.

And, holy shit, Variations is almost ten years old. Where did all the time go?

I've heard that Al Cisneros used a Megalith on the Shrinebuilder album but there's literally like, 2 pictures of his pedalboard on the internet.

Also, there was a Sleep rehearsal where I swear I saw a Mountainking Heavy Machine but they never got close enough for me to make it out for sure.

I'm pretty sure Shrinebuilder live is the same DOD250/Signal split SVT's that he uses in the live Sleep stuff.

What can I say? I'm a pretty big fan of the Sleep family tree, to put it mildly.

At Giza just sounds like his DOD250.

Yeah, its the 250. When I saw them At Giza was the encore, and it sounded just like the record... even though he was using SVT's and a Plexi clone.

I'm guessing he probably just rents amps when he tours outside of the west coast?

Supposedly. I know he has one but I can't really make it out or find any pictures of him with one.

I mean it's possible, but Thebes is the only track that has distortion on it, and it sounds like the 250 to me. Mixed much further back, obviously.

New record in August!

I mean, I'm not excited at all. OM are ok, I guess.
