I have a 1972 Vox King Wah that does the typical feedback thing with fuzz. I tried the Boss pedal in between as a buffer which is okay, but I'm thinking I should just buy a buffer.
That being said I want to true bypass the wah and found a 3pdt mounted buffered bypass pcb that I'm considering using. Will this fix the problem or do I need a separate buffer?
I think you need a buffer specifically designed for a wah, like this: http://www.foxroxelectronics.com/FoxroxWahRetrofit.html. Area 51 also does one. Those old King Wahs are very cool and personally I'd leave it as is, but going true bypass is easy, as is adding a buffer, and both are reversible, so…
