Lets say the delay pedal has a range of 50ms - 1000 ms of delay. Now, say for example you have the "repeat/feedback" knob set where it would give you 4 repeats. You would have the ability to assign how many ms each repeat is after the one before it. Por ejemplo:

Repeat #1 begins 750 ms after you play a note
Repeat# 2 begins 250 ms after repeat #1
Repeat #3 begins 1000 ms after repeat #2
Repeat 4 begins 500 ms after repeat #3

I have no idea if this would have any musical applications, but it may be able to create some fun noise.
That's how the Quadraverb+'s multitap works.

Sadly it's limited by 1990 delay times but you can do 8 taps of stupidity (adjust feedback/pan) etc.

8 taps of stupidity would be a good name for a reissue of this unit. Someone do it.

Problem is the things are SOOO cheap used. Get a regular Qverb for $50, toss in a $15 eprom, instant Qverb+.

It's a stupid simple replacement, and while you're in there, swap the battery and put in a modern LCD panel (visible from space, no more squinting).

Total cost: < $100.

No money to make a new one versus that!

I don't have room for rack gear. Someone needs to rebuild one specifically catering to my exact needs.

This is a pretty cool take. Reminds me a little bit of the way an echorec works, although the similarity is in concept rather than execution.
good deals are here.

It's why a bunch of us still use the Qverb+ as the basis for the various multihead stuff - the editing choices are huge, and you can capture the flavor of otherwise unobtainable ratios and oddity.

It's possible to have one repeat verge on oscillation and another gently fade after a long single echo and any variation of the thing.

To this day it's the only way I can get my old RE-301 sounds without shelling out the $1200 for one.

Ok, seriously, the world needs more reverse delay. And envelope-controlled stuff, for say, delay time. CT5 and Raster are getting the right idea..but not yet perfect.
