I hate to be that guy...

But the regular CC would've been THE delay pedal for me if it were just a tad less dark. If this new one sounds super bright it's not for me either

Which is why I'm a fan of analog delays that have a tone control that allow you to dial in the color of the repeats.

Cool, but I kinda feel that it should've been pink.

Yeah I feel that.
I'm wondering how prone this new one will be to clicky/chirpy oscillation. If only both dark+bright versions had external modulation controls.
Also, far as analog delay voicing goes...if you haven't already...check out a DM-2 or DM-3. Or my personal favorite, the big box DMM.

Not to comment on the quality or anything, but how can anyone live without tap tempo on a delay pedal? :idk:

I've never found tap tempo necessary. :idk:

On analog delays, my Maxon AD-9 is by far my favourite. Would love to try an old DMM though.

What kind of time signatures do you play in ;)
Or do you mostly use short delay times and/or few repeats?

All of them? Some 4/4, some 3/4, some 7/8 etc. I just set the delay so it sounds good, and then I play. I use dark repeats, and mostly as an ambient effect, though.

Might be into this as first pedal in a chain type of deal. Bright analog delays of bass before dirt mmmmm. Not too into that color though (picky picky me).

Yeah the color is :barf: Reminds me of that slime in a bucket shit that was marketed as a toy back in the 70s.
Also not a big fan of bright delay pedals. I'm sure someone out there will think it's the bees neez though :idk:

When it comes to the voicing of the repeatsn the DM-3 is actually the absolute perfect delay for me, such great mushy juicy sound from that pedal. Right like I want em too, not too dark or wobbly or whatever either. Could afford to keep it AND also buy an analog delay that has tap tempo and longer delay times. I'm using an ES-2 these days. Not nearly as good soundng as the DM-3, but the DM-3 is just a bit too no-frills for my delay needs. Never had the chance of seriously messing with a dmm. A big box version would be pricey, and it's too fucking huge for my pedal board :idk:

What if they just made one pedal and had a treble roll off knob for the wet signal?

I have no use for tap tempo and play all sorts of polyrhythmic stuff. I find if the delays are sync'd they get lost in the mix. And dotted eighths can bite my reptilian ass. I have one delay set for around 400ms and the other around 700 (from memory).

Just feels more natural to have the repeats landing wherever against the beat.

I really like the CC.

Keen to see what this is like.
