man I've wanted one of those for a while now but with the exchange rate and shipping they're over $500 i think i'm gonna get an EHX 8 step to pair with a delay with rate CV to do similar stuff

* Step and Memory Boy DLX is pretty damn nice. So is Meet Maude, but you're back in the $$$ there (maybe u get lucky on used 1?). Personally prefer my 8 Step or some other cv sequencer and Meet Maude to what I've heard from Cloudbuster, but I am frequently corrected by those who know better. Still makes me happy....

I do the same thing, and with the programmable sequences it's way more useful for integrating into songs/repeating sequences

cloudbuster would sound a lot different from putting an 8 step in the f/x loop of maude, i would imagine...i've never put a step seqencer in my maude f/x loop and that's a pretty good idea and think i'll go experiment
the cloudbuster it doesn't really step sequence the repeats like you might imagine. its it own thing and is great and i feel unique for what all it does. i think its in a class all of its own and everyone should own one

really anything can be used as tabletop effects. put pedal on table. BOOM, tabletop effect!

i'm not even gunna say my favorite because i feel like a broken record.

i realise in many situations just putting pedals on the table works fine especially with stuff that has a blend knob or whatever (masf possessed rules at this although i want to change the switch to a button), but to make things more fun and stick with a theme don't suggest things that are designed to sit on the floor and be stomped on

i did foresee this pedal suggestions are all cool but i was hoping to share things that people looking for pedals would normally overlook as 'effects'. certain pedals are amazing for tabletop but i do find a lot of stuff is evidently tailored for guitar and shaves off a lot of important frequency content on other instruments.

i'm really interested in the Meet Maude, and as much the Cloudbuster looks great considering it's a similar price for me to buy the Maude + 8 step as just that i'd probably go for the Maude + 8 step just to be able to have more versatility over sequencing. What i'm interested in is how sequencing delay rate with the dry signal blended out makes stuff sound like it's speeding up and slowing down.
need them pure hardware realtime vaporwave toanz.

Here's anotha mutha forya--they're more raqq-ish, but I always wanted to put together a tabletop rig including the Electrix EQ Killer/MOFx for real time slicing and dicing of entire frequency bands.

First--much respect to you--you are a true fx traveller and savant; and I agree with you--they wouldn't really be the same--I just like what sweet Maude brings with a sequencer.

Minor quibble/clarification--and I'm sure you already know this, but for others maybe less on the cognoscenti tip--with the Maude you're not so much putting the 8 step in the loop as configuring the "loop output/input" as a cv input with choice to control either the feedback or memory knob's function. It's the cv control of memory time which I humbly commend as a productive and wholesome time spending activity.

FX builders--that's a freebie--and I mostly would throw some coin at a delay with the moniker "TimeSpender." Especially if it was the one glitchring to blahblahblah and in the darkness bind them.



BTW, all--sorry for multiposts; I should really multipart a single post, but I am messageboard slovenly--apologies oh fastidious ones. I resolve to remember the face of my ILFfather and do better.

i had the reverb and it was really evil sounding. very cool too!
