That, I know nothing about. Haven't messed with too much rack stuff (or stereo effects at all). Good advice though.rfurtkamp wrote:Make sure it's a rackmount that doesn't sum mono to stereo on input (pedal too, I suppose, I bet those exist) - a bunch of the older rackmount stuff does.

Me either or tap tempo or exp. control or whatever...rfurtkamp wrote:I'm not a top-mount nazi.

Been finding that out lately since I've been messing around with rack stuff (Ibanez HD1000, Boss RRV10) since I've been trying to coax good sounds of the old FB01 (well a while ago when messing with old Roland samplers and other midi sequencers).rfurtkamp wrote:Have to read the fine print on the summing and dig through the manuals a lot of times, but if you're entering rackmount and stereo effect land, manuals are your new best friend.

I actually remember seeing those SKB boards around! I forgot about them. I used to have a SKB rack case with a drawer I build for my Korg Toneworks multi-effects (Ahem....I mean "noise setup") at the time that I would a/b my guitar with. I ran a sampler/feedback loop/mixer in the rack. Was fun, but not worth it for a 12 minute punk set...haha (this was 2004-5). Traded the rack stuff for plumbing tools.rfurtkamp wrote:Since I don't use a pedalboard with my feet (crippleyo!), I've kept a Space Echo or a rackmount under the board for ages on and off. Only caveat on the SE is that to clean heads/change tape/etc it's a pain in the ass to move teh board, but not applicable with other effects.
Back in the stone age, there was a SKB board that had a 2 or 4 space rack pointing upwards out of a board, I always wanted one at the time.

that wont work i'm afraid because its not a space issue. side mounted in/outs are fine ... but unfortunately in this case it has to be at the top so that the MIDI on the H9 is accessible on the left. so that means the verb's outs to the amps has to be at the top. i could tear everything off and redo the entire board but i'd rather use what i already have because money.vidret wrote:since nobody said it i'll say stereo wet reverb and use pancake plugs or something.
i like the idea but the cost and will definitely need to mod the feet since the PT is a small/low one. not a big issue that.lordgalvar wrote:Put a Boss RRV-10 half rack under your board next to the power supply (might need a little taller feet for the board) and then use a remote bypass footswitch on top. Or use any half rack unit.
i was confused (and very curious!) about the "45 plugs" for awhile there too hahasonidero wrote:sonidero wrote:45 plugs...![]()
