The purchases do stay with the account, the 'Max out' does not.

Re: Eventide are liars
Truth^^^^ If a company screws me over like that and won't rectify the problem in a civil manner, then I have no option but to protest with my feet. One thing I know about business is that if a company provides good service you will recommend them to 20 people, if a company provides poor service you will warn 200 people against dealing with them.rustywire wrote:This is why, as a consumer I view the DRM model as a depreciating investment.Dark Barn wrote:Here's the deal. Its unusual for a company to allow you to resell DRM content at all. I hate DRM, and Eventide's policy of allowing you to resell it, even if only once, is far from typical and I would say generous in comparison to 99% of the DRM world.
I'd return the H9 and never look back. If a company gives me any attitude or the impression I'm unimportant to them as a customer, their products and services immediately become toxic. I will go out of my way to avoid supporting and/or dealing with any such business in the future.
With today's options, it's beneath me to accommodate such a relationship.

Were it I, I'd return product and look to other equipment.
Eventide is supposed to be great at what they do (I wouldn't know). They should suck it up and change the wording or provide fine print. After they fix their issue with you.
Last time a business messed me over was pizzahut. I LOVE pizza hut. But I can't have it anymore :<
Or, you could return the h9 to store, and shope ebay/CL for a maxed and prey on sucker that doesn't know what you know. Remember, the company doesn't get a cent off the second hand market

Active Conundrum you are of course right and I agree with you.
I did however just pay them the money. It will force me to keep the pedal, which is a good thing for me.
I really loved my H9 before and wouldn't have sold it had the Toneczar boner not been so hard.
I have all the Algo's now.
All I have to do when a new algo comes out is shoot them an email and they'll add it. It's noted on my account. So that's nice.
If I ever sold it, I could give out the account info and remove all my cc info. What would they do stop that?
Actually when I sold mine, I forgot to deactivate it and I had to give a guy that bought it off of Reverb my info to get it deactivated. Luckily he was a nice person that I didn't have to worry about trusting.
