"Dark" Americana, a la Earth

Post by colossus »

Recommend me some dark, slow Americana-type stuff, a la more recent Earth, some Nick Cave, King Dude, some Do Make Say Think. Vocals are fine, but really looking for some slow, twangy jams. What you got? I've been on a huge Earth kick recently and need something new! :hello:

Dead Man OST and Morricone stuff definitely fits!

And you guys should check this out: https://acrosstundras.bandcamp.com/albu ... one-guitar

Electric is ideal! What else you got?

Also, not like Earth at all, but Murder By Death and O Death are both good choices. Both dark Americana but not really heavy.

Well, who knows where this fits in the dark "Americana" spectrum?

The Red Dead Redemption soundtrack has a lot of gems.

Butcher Boy does this sort of stuff really well, too, although they jump around a bit stylistically:

good deals are here.
