are you sure you cant make a patch for that that has expression and maybe some other parameters assigned to different switches? You have to go deep, but it is possible on the 10. I'd imagine you should be able to do it on the 100.

On the 100/001, yea, no issue, I'm talking about the standalone TE pedal for $180ish.

The amount out of routing and automation/expression etc options is stupid.

I made a ducking Tera Echo patch almost immediately on the 001 the minute it was unboxed.

Man, you aren't helping my Multi-FX GAS.

Has anyone tried both the Line 6 M series and the Boss GT MFX?
The boss seems really robust.

Have they fixed the tone suck at all on the GTs?
I remember the GT6/8 sounding a bit dull when bypassed.
Never used the Amp sim or built in dirt. They always sounded cheap to me.
Put my own pedals in the loop and programmed the patch to turn the loop on and off.

They seemed pretty easy to program. I would just create a bypass patch, copy it to all other patches as a base start point.....then go nuts.
I certainly came up with the most creative use of effects when I had them.......plus the added ease of not having to tap dance pedals to get weird tones was nice.

Plus the cost to effect ratio is pretty high. Looks like the cheapest GT10 is $260, and the cheapest GT100 is $400 (on da bay).......which isn't bad considering a single pedal that can do crazy stuff is usually up in the $200 range.

GK, get that whammy, set to fourths or fifths, get some of that chorus or even vibe going and some sweet ass ambient delay or verb, add volume swells and you can get some space station-esque things going on.
My other favorite thing to do with a whammy is +2oct on low power chords where it gets all glitchy fighting for the fifth and octave before hitting heavy distortion. Makes a great feature as a once off in a riff.
In an old band, I did something similar to that. I think it was 5th up, weird bar chords on the GBE strings, reverb from a Reverberator and embracing the glitch. Created an ambient wash behind the spanky strat sounds.......
I may have a shitty clip/bad mix of it........man almost 10 years ago!

My Gt-001 when bypassed/everything off sounds just fine into the board or the amp.

Not sure I ever would use it for that (I'm a 'master reverb etc almost always on' type guy).

The GT-100/001's amp sims are the first that made me reach down to check SPL by feel on my 4x12 when recording in headphones on high gain stuff.

Fuzz is better, still somewhat boring as you'd expect, but that's now what I got the thing for. Amp sims are WORLDS better in the newer models, it's like comparing an original Line6 Spider to anything released in the last year or two.

On the cost/effect ratio, I figured that it was $100 for the reverb, $200 for the oddball wierd (Tera Echo, Feedbacker, "Intelligent" Ringmod, etc), $100 for the bread and butter stuff, and the rest was free.

phaser
but i keep gettin tempted by the oil can emulators
whatever this void is
that i fill with pedals and other gear
multi-anything doesnt help it
as soon as i reach the limitation
i wanna chuck it out the window
theres something that lacks when i turn on a multi effect
in theory it sounds like its a peice of heaven
reality is a button pushing hell for me

whetstone is on my $$$omeday list
like"mercedes at the crosswalk"day
or"mom bought me that lotto ticket " day
