I like big necks and I can not lie! You other ILF'ers can't deny!

Seriously, the neck on my Guild Blues 90 is somewhere between a Gibby 50's baseball bat and 60's profile and it is PERFECT.

As far as bass necks go, my Ric 4003 is where it's at, but the Jazz neck on my Japanese Jag bass is a close 2nd. Japanese Fenders are go!

I'm finding that I like a medium sized U-shaped neck. I was a little unhappy with Fender's Standard C shape and presumed that I needed a thicker neck, but then I tried a U-shaped neck with the same neck radius and it felt awesome. I don't have especially large hands but my palms are kind of bigger so they need something to grip, else I cramp up. A nice U-shaped neck and 11 gauge strings and heavy picks makes a guitar feel substantial to me.

Best neck I've ever used is the neck on my Reverend Slingshot Jr. It is like the best possible Strat C neck.

My 06 American Strat neck is a close second, but the offset spine of the Reverend makes it feel a bit better.

I like big and fat, v or u or c. Hate ultra thin and flat shredder necks. But I've gotten over some bigotry against skinnier necks because my Godin is so nice--kind of like a thin Fender 60s C, but with a flatter fretboard and some comfy asymmetry. For longer stretches, bigger necks are still a lot more comfortable for me, though.

My favourite neck is the one on my cij mustang. Nice and slim and fits into my hands nicely.

Holy Schnikes wrote:I like necks chunky as well. Not baseball bat-style but def bigger than say a Gibson slim 60's neck. My only guitar with a little thinner profile is my Maton MS500 but that neck is fantastic in it's own way and super fast.
Great guitars the MS500 Matons. Have one myself fitted with P90s. Also used the coil tap switch to switch between 2 different P.I.O tone caps. But yeah the necks are nice. The whole guitars are nice except for the stock pickups.

I really like the neck on my 980 les paul which I'm guessing is a 60's thin style and my 57 ri strat's v neck. Unfortunately the strat was a broken truss rod and looks like a bow
