My best guess: Musicman sixty-five. That's supposed to be a bass amp though, right? Is it based on some fender/marshall circuit or vice versa?

I think that's an HD130 or HD150. It may also be the bass version of the 65 (no reverb) in the shorter housing. IIRC, they are based on a silver face Twin, but have a solid state preamp.

Music Man of some sort. I don't know enough about them. I do know people use bass amps with guitar and vice versa all the time though :idk:

Just google'd all the pics I could find of both the HD130/150 and the sixty-five heads. There's too little difference to be sure which one is in those grainy little pics:(

Yeah, there's not enough detail in those pics to make a good enough guess.

Google'd some more, found an interview with the band's guitarist, in which he talks about his gear...

It's an HD150! :)

I have an HD150. It sounds good for guitar as long as you turn the treble & bass way down.

If the info I found online is correct, they actually came in a bass version as well as a guitar version. I can imagine the bass version should work fine on guitar too though, especially with a little tweaking, like you said...

The bass version doesn't have reverb. Otherwise it's the same.

They've been around for quite some time I think. A buddy of mine turned me on to them, cause we're both into sleeping people and lite, as well as heavier instrumental bands.

I know the guitar tone isn't anything exceptional or unique, nothing you couldn't pull off with another decent amp instead. I was just curious, cause those old music man amps always seem to go surprisingly cheap online.
