Or man up and do the delay+modulation side of things.
I'll always reach for Alison's Halo/Slowdive/LSD&TSfG before MBV. Except Sunny Sundae Smile.

I aim for the Isn't Anything "MWAH NAH NAH NAH MUHHHHHHHHWAAHH NAH NAH NAH" super dry octave chords.

I've had both and the Behringer does sound good. But I recommend keeping an eye out for the Boss. They seem to go pretty cheap these days. I saw one in a store a few months back for $70. That's only $20 more than the Behringer new. There's one on guitar center's site right now, for $69.99 (they pop up there alot). The flutter setting (i.e. the cool one) is a momentary switch, so there's lots of pressing down being done. I don't know how well I'd trust the Behringer over time with its footswitch being pressed and held alot. Just my two cents.

I use my Ring Thing 100% wet with the depth slight and the rate slow to slowy shift pitch. Here's me doing that to an acoustic with delay before dirt- http://mutesuk.bandcamp.com/track/whiteness
