One of my favorite Fender color combos!

I used ReRanch Surf Green. I didn't strip the black finish, just sanded thoroughly, then sprayed with white primer. I didn't do a gloss coat over the color...it looks vintage this way and is still plenty shiny (and I haven't had good luck with ReRanch's gloss nitro, which is probably as much my fault, but their color coats go on so nicely, then the gloss isn't as cooperative and runs easily).
The frets on my Duo were worn when I got it, and I finished wearing them out.


Pickup covers and knobs for a few bucks...all in all, $20-30 into the makeover.
Tone Zone S in the neck (series-parallel-split) and a BG Pups Phatty I already had went into the bridge.
