Re: Best Gears of 2013!
I guess 2013 is the year I quit the new gear game. Ditched most of my pedals, went back in time and got an Eventide Eclipse, TC Fireworx, Kurzweil Mangler, and Roland Fantom XR. Retro upgrade city.

I'm gonna start doing some proper research this weekend into what plys are available locally and try and cost the fucker out. Slowly scrape towards DIY cab happenings. My general practical skills are awful though, so it will be excruciatingly slow going. Plus fixing my head so I have an amp to use them with is paramount right now, the other half of the reason they haven't been hooked up yet. Too many projects.
I just wanna stick em in a cab just like yours....
Edit that how you will.
You have made the right decision.Chankgeez wrote:Can't. Wish I could. No $. I may just have to put up a B/S/T thread to sell some stuff and raise some funds.Iommic Pope wrote:

All of the above. I know I won't be able to afford either the HM-2 or the titty blaster, but they are going to rule hard, and I must have them. Also doom bloom.misterstomach wrote:... that fucking ape blaster for sure...
for 2014 i'm already dying for that fucking dunwich hm2 clone. the demos of the proto are fucking killing me. also this new distortion that darren has been messing with to follow up the ape blaster. looking forward to the delay that smallsound/bigsound has been whispering about. this in addition to hoping i can earn the money this next year to buy all this shit i've been drooling over for the past year or two that i haven't been able to afford.
I can't foresee any dirt being released beyond those that will ever interest me again, especially as I now have an ape blaster and black forest.

Re: Best Gears of 2013!
I went through so many pedals this year I can't even remember. Not even sure which ones came out this year that I really enjoyed (Ditto?). I'd say the ones that had the strongest impact were the ones I still have:
EQD Speaker Cranker - went through 10,000 dirt pedals before arriving at this one, which I had passed up multiple times. Simple and perfect for me right now.
Ibanez DE-7 - possibly the best $20 I've spent on a pedal. Dethroned all other delays for me.
Subdecay Spring Theory - Perfect reverb for me, keep it always-on for spring, or go long decay on the Room setting for ambient washes.
Most recent acquisition is a Dawner Prince Starla tremolo. Pretty sure that's a keeper but it's too soon to say.
Honorable mention to the Basic Audio Lucky Number, which blew me away in a TGP tourbox, and I still need to acquire someday.
