Best Gears of 2013!

Post by MEC »

As far as pedals go, my favorites that came out this year are the Catalinbread Belle Epoch and the Melekko Ekko LoFi 616 MKII.

Cool thread idea!

Only thing I have on my board that is 2013 issue is the Eventide H9. It's a pretty amazing piece of gear. I consider it the ultimate pedal if you aren't sure what you want from ambient and modulation sounds. Pretty happy with it so far.

I also have a 2013 made Dirge 3in1 that would be close to the most useful pedal I've ever owned. Dirge released some great stuff this year so I wanted to mention it.

Full disclosure: it's my only pedal from 2013.

Ape Blaster Fuzz. It's just killer all by itself. I like to stack pedals and it can play with others but it sounds so freaking good by itself.

The Superego changed my entire outlook on playing so I can't really say much more than that. I think I got my Space in early 2013 and I still think it's the best pedal ever and the Moog MF-104 is just so sweet that it makes me forget that I have an Echoplex and that I ever owned a Timeline.

Pedal of the motherfucking decade.
AND we're only three years in.

I was going to say my Strymon Mobius, but apparently I got that on like December 28th of 2012, so I guess that doesn't count. I was going to say all of my Synthesizers.com gear, but I had to sell that off this fall. I'm going to have to say my Elements, which I just bought yesterday and hasn't even arrived yet. But I've played them before and they rock my world.
