totally my thoughts, kinda splatty and evil sounding. was hoping for that kind of thing in the fuzz stang and think it might be in there, somewhere.

and I guess while I have you guys here,
what would be your favorite muff of a triangle vs a ram's head?
and which tonebender family would you go for?
I've never quite bonded with a fuzz face yet. maybe haven't found the right one.

i've got a v2 rams head and a v3 big muff pi. i think with the early vintage it's mostly hit, even though there is a lot of variations between versions. anyways, i wouldn't get rid of either that i have. both are so harmonically rich. never came across a later version that impressed me. i'm still on the hunt for a v1 in good condition and better price.

here's everything anyone could ever want to know about the big muff pi.
http://www.kitrae.net/music/big_muff_history.html

mentioned don't own any tonebenders, so don't really have any input....but the mk1 was based on fuzztone circuit. and mk1.5 or 2 is what the fuzz face is based on. i think. i've got a vintage arbiter fuzz face w/germs and its pretty rad. i've got an analogman sun lion which has their fuzz face clone in it, and a fulltone 69 mkII fuzz face clone. they both come close, but neither is as rich as the original.

cool, again thanks for your input.
think an old-school clone with mids control of the ram's head might be the ticket.
I love the supercollider and pharaoh but they lack what I love/hated in the old muffs I had
:beers!:

Triangle Vs. Ram's Head is a debate I'm unequipped for, since I prefer the sounds of Sovtek Muffs and honestly I can't hear a whole lot of difference between the two anyway. Whatever's cheaper.

I think all of the benders sound cool, but like UG said, 1's a fuzz-tone, 1.5's a fuzz face, and the newest one's a big muff. I know there are others, but I haven't listened to them much.
good deals are here.

so I guess I'll go Ram's Head since I love muffs and the tonebender bases are covered if that's the case me thinks.
I love the gnar crunch and think that's covered, just want that old school vintage muff for some stuff. probably byoc...

and think I'm in love again, the double beat is insane. dammit. so that and the FZ-1S and I should be set.
maybe. this is an addiction. muahahahahahah)))

think I'm down to the Ad-50 Double Beat and either the Maestro FZ1 or FZ1S.
contemplating which would bring more tones?
again with the fuzz stang mk II. or this might be switched out too?
so much on the table right now.
thanks for the help!

I have and wanted all of his pedals! but they might be too polite for me?
that FM-2 is still haunting me though... it's total destruction!

Uncle Grandfather wrote:you know i love the fz-1s, but having a stomp switch to toggle between the two fuzz tones is reaallllly nice. i'm diggin that about the beebaa. the ace tone fm-2 also uses one stomp for between the fuzz tones. i wonder if there's a fz-1s clone with set up as such? that would be the tits.

the guy at ace tone went on to start roland. i think the ace tone fm-2 could be considered the design the beebaa was based on. and the ace tone is more of an octave fuzz to compete with the superfuzz....i'm really starting to gas on the ace tone. i like octave pedals.
ok so between the bee baa and fz-1s, which would you pick as a fuzz?
and this is if the fz-1s has the same fotswitches like the bee baa to control fuzz tones.
almost ready to be done with this research. but always another door opens...
