Both.
I have a 2s ver and want to hear what 8 can do.
Will probably pick one up if it's possible.
Doubt I'll want to part with either...

ya on that note i will also make available to people with a 2 sec version an upgrade kit which should only require swapping out the 3 socketed ics. details on that as it happens. it is definitely possible, the pinout of the circuit has not changed, although a few of the part models have.

stripes wrote:i don't think i fully undersand what the goodbye 24 is... it's not an effect pedal right? it's an "instrument"? i really don't care what it is because that demo just convinced me 100% that I am buying one as soon as I possibly can.. holy shit.

it is mostly like a delay, though maybe it doesn't quite sound like one. You basically set a fixed buffer size that is constantly getting recorder to (at a fixed rate/direction). Then imagine a playback head, constantly reading back the buffer, that you can speed up/slow down/change direction and then feed that result back into whets being written to the buffer. ITs actually pretty straightforward, but gives surprisingly exotic sounding results.

A few dats ago i was doing more research for another pedal im making and I came across a site with a lot of effects programmed in Java. They had something a bit similar to this in spirit and called it a 'lifted delay'. Not sure how widely used that terminology is though.

That's cool. I'll prob just pickup another unit...as I suspect the 2s version allows for finer tuning over the range of the pot.
And like I said, wanna compare them both...and find which one I prefer with stringed instruments, drum machines, synths etc.
And then there's the possibility of stacking

Skully...just imagine....G24 > TFM > G24 :whoa:
[B/S/T shoutouts] Shortlist: Hollow Earth|Ct5|856|Condor|Thermae|OP-1|half track reel2reel|Prophet6 ... :whoa:

Well if you can select between three different modes I don't think you would lose any fine tunings?
Great business with::: space6oy, SpaceFlunky, iamthesnow, DannDubbleEwe, leaves turn, Jero, Gigahearts_FX, PumpkinPieces, sergiomunoz74

Yeah I've been thinking about picking up another just because I like the circuit so much. I've found settings that render the Organizer, Rainbow Machine, Timeline Ice and that new EQD just kind of pointless because the GB24 is so spot on and does ALL of those sounds.

Here's one I did a few hours ago, currently editing/uploading a video with all the other pedals

Edit:
Watch how nicely the GB24 gets along with other pedals!

Yep, it's set up like any other pedal and you play your instrument "through" it.
It's not really an instrument on it's own but would probably be cool in a feedback loop. :idk:

EDIT: As made clear by chet's awesome demo! :thumb:

okay. completely understood now... i was having a hard time understanding if it was an "input only" thing based on the pictures and description on MAs site. i only saw two jacks not on the same face and the phrase "expression jack" somewhere on the site. makes this thing even more exciting to me, though.. :D
