we were talking about her last night, about how bad her accent is, yet Bill (British) and Jason (Australian) are much more convincing. I can't picture her as anything but that little dancing prat from The Piano.

It is amazing that Australians and Brits do redneck even more convincing than Billy Bob Thornton who is one.
Anna Paquin is still Rogue in my mind, she should have gotten naked in X-Men though.

We've watched both seasons of True Blood, pretty cool show! I liked season 2 more than season 1 I think. Really neat premise for a cool vampire story. I'd love to live in a world like that where vampires are real... I'd be a werewolf for sure, long time dream.

I had no idea this show was made from a series of books and I didn't know Bill was British and Jason was Australian! I've really learned a lot today, guys.

it's kind of sad, really.

plus she's always got that stupid expression on her face, like someone's just holding a giant pile of shit under her nose.

"They're like teacup humans." Good stuff!

Yeah, I wanted to hate True Blood... then my wife got a couple of episodes of the first season on iTunes... and we burned through that... and then we got so into season 2 that over the last two nights we watched the last eight (!) episodes on On Demand.

I think that if I was going to be anything from the True Bloodiverse... being a Shifter would be pretty cool. But being Godric would be even cooler. Except for the part that I won't give away to anyone who hasn't seen the second season...

Anyone here into the BBC series Being Human? I got deep into that for a while. It's interesting to compare the British version of the supernatural to the American version. Personally, I found the British explanation of lycanthropy (i.e., the person changing into the wolf feels every bone break and reform, every organ shut down and shift position... basically goes through a world of pain as their entire body reconfigures... every time it happens) a whole lot more compelling than the Shifter version of "my insides go all sparkly and then I'm an animal." I mean, I know that Shifters are different than werewolves, but I suspect that if there were a Being Human version of Shifters, they wouldn't have any easier a time of it. But then, on the whole, I find the True Blood vamps a lot more interesting than the Being Human vamps... so there ya go.

I love me some True Blood.

Though this whole vampire craze is making everyone who watched Buffy in the 90s look terribly bad.

Didn't mind Twilight but I don't see why it's as popular as is it is. I also don't understand why it's as hated as it is, but let's not get into this again.

Sometimes I think Bill takes himself a little too seriously, it gets slightly douchey at points.

When I went to the Toronro Fan Expo I saw this chick wearing a shit that read "Bill Compton>Edward Cullen"

I think that's how they're trying to play him. It makes Eric even more attractive.

That's true, it does make Eric look better.

I like both the tv show and books.......

It will be interesting to see how the rivalry plays out on the TV Show.......there are already some twists in the plot.

I'm fine because Nip Tuk is starting    :omg: :omg: :omg:
Plus Dexter is still going. :thumb:

I'd be a vampire, and if I'd have to chose one I'm gonna be a tween girl here and say a Twilight vampire: super speed, super strength, diamond hard skin, super good looks/alluring smell (c'mon, as pussy as it is to say you'd want to be twilight vampire, think of all the bitches you'd get  ), and on top of that NO SLEEP. No fucking sleep. I would get soooooo much done

Actually If you read Christopher Paolini's Inheritance series, you'd probably want to be an elf more than anything: basically all the powers I listed above, plus magic, plus you don't have to eat people...or bears.

I watched the first series of Being Human.

True Blood just started over here and the 2nd episode was aired yesterday night. Flashforward has just started aswell. I'm not sure what to make of these shows at the moment, but I'm a sucker for a vampire related show or movie.

Haven't read the books, but we may be starting the show soon.

I loved the first 2 seasons of that show...then completely lost interest in the 3rd. It turned into more of a soap opera than a drama. Did it get any better?
