Neck's not super fat, and it's not super heavy. Plus, it's a weird stripped down Firebird. Another option maybe.
Same with this. Is that how you would really describe mini humbuckers? If that's the case, I should get some. Do they put them in much else other than the firebirds, and the les paul deluxe's? Because I can't play a firebird. I'll look like I'm in the sheepdogs.
Yeah, I'd say that's pretty accurate. They ran these same mini-hums in all of the 70's Tribute Studios last year (SGs, Les Pauls and Firebirds.) They're a new mini-hum design, so I don't know how they'd differ from an older mini-hum. I contemplated selling my Firebird for a minute but just couldn't get that chime out of any other pickup in any of my other guitars. Kind of a unique sound. Pretty nice guitar for the money too. Most of the 70's Tribute stuff got discounted down to around $500 or $600 by the end of the year last year.
Damn. Maybe I should spend more time in guitar shops. Thanks dude.

No sweat man. I bet you can find these if you hunt around a little. I just checked around some, and it looks like my prices were a little off. I got my Firebird for around $600. Musiciansfriend is showing the remaining SG's and LP's at $680 & $810 respectively. Oops, sorry for the confusion.
Yeah, I've been eyeing this guitar since they came out last year. I'm a little weary of what its build quality will be, but I'm buying it strictly for live thrashing. It's a unique looking guitar with a lot of pretty features. I'm going to finally hook it up this month. I'll let you know!
