If you like the mustang trem you should do it, but it is a bit of work and in my case the new trem cost more than the guitar (which was only $60 from rondomusic.com). You have to glue in a block of wood into the trem cavity then route for the mustang trem, which is not a particularly difficult route, i did mine with a drill press and chisels instead of a router, but I dont know your level of woodworking expertise.

The joystick is essentially just two 10k potentiometers, so I tried to wire it so that two legs of each go to their own pins in the midi jack, (the midi jack is only used for this it doesnt output any real midi data) which then goes to a breakout box, which gives each pot a TS jack, so I can connect them to the two exp ins on my line 6 m9. But it doesn't work.
