Thanks guys! glad you like it! Unfortunately i'm kind of mad at it right now, partly because of the way it plays but mostly because i can't get the joystick working...

If you like the mustang trem you should do it, but it is a bit of work and in my case the new trem cost more than the guitar (which was only $60 from rondomusic.com). You have to glue in a block of wood into the trem cavity then route for the mustang trem, which is not a particularly difficult route, i did mine with a drill press and chisels instead of a router, but I dont know your level of woodworking expertise.

osbornkt wrote:Okay, that just blew my mind. How did you wire the expression pedal joystick? What about isn't currently working? It's absolutely brilliant.
Nicely done!

The joystick is essentially just two 10k potentiometers, so I tried to wire it so that two legs of each go to their own pins in the midi jack, (the midi jack is only used for this it doesnt output any real midi data) which then goes to a breakout box, which gives each pot a TS jack, so I can connect them to the two exp ins on my line 6 m9. But it doesn't work. :idk: It does control the m9 a bit but in a frustrating and unreliable way. The exp pedal feature on the m9 seems kind of wonky anyway, so I might try to rewire it to control a more traditional pedal, but that would mean i need to use all 3 legs on each pot.

Very nice :thumb:
I love old yamaha's and even some of the newer ones.

This guitar is a sweetheart for sure. I've been playing stringed instruments for almost 30 years (piano only for the first 10) and this is actually the first Acoustic Guitar I've ever bought with my own money. My old acoustic was given to me and it just never really got played. Turned out the neck heal was separating from the body of that entry level as well.

In the first day of ownership; I'm definitely in love with the FG-75. The tone is not what I'm used to,...but there is something really pleasant about that boxy/parlor-esque tone. It's not full like a dreadnaught,...but it is still surprisingly loud while being still being delicate and detailed.

never played a mustang trem, my woodworking experience is pretty decent. I was thinking of filling in the trem cavity with a block of wood and some minwac wood filler and then puting a hard tail bridge on it. but then i saw the mustang trem and thought it looked better than a bigsby and i would enjoy it more.

I say do it. The mustang trem gets a bad rap but its perfectly useable if set up properly. It's a fairly easy install too, especially since that large base plate covers your work so it's ok if you're a little sloppy (I was)

Got a new one today!! The sunburst is new the black is older.
Black is a Avri 62 the sunburst an Avri 65, so nothing too fancy.

I want a Jazzmaster sooooOOOOoooo bad!!!!!!
I want one since I saw Ross Godfrey from Morcheeba on a Charango era show, 10 or 11 years ago...it totally blew my mind, his sound was pure magic.
He had a white/blonde one with a red tort...I want the same since that time...

But yours are great!!!!
Do I see binding on the sunburst' neck??
Cool knobs btw...

The 65 reissue has a thicker neck, not too thick though. And Its got a bit brighter pickups. Not used to it yet since the 62 reissue has been my main guitar for 7 years or so.
But really happy so far!

Awesome jazzy's myrrh!

Not quite the same caliber but I picked this up today:
Image

I played pretty much every sub-$2000 guitar in the shop and it floored all of them, even USA gibsons and fenders..
Seriously cannot believe it's a squier, feels/sounds PERFECT. Build quality is way better than my MIM Tele and the fretwork is flawless

Family shot: (it makes the others look so small )

Got one of these incoming after finding some closeout pricing. Getting back in the Tele game, it's been a long while.
