Screw it I'm just gonna put a tone pot on the dirge, and throw the mean90 and the tele bridge p/u in the MEC and call it a day. Total cost, 1 250k pot, 1 tone cap, and 1 witch hat knob soo maybe 10$.

I really want to make one. Someone keeps putting them up for 450 or less on ebay with four way switches and twisted tele neck, which is very similar to what I would do. If I have extra scratch on my returns and decide on a guitar it's either the Pawnshop mustang or building my own telemaster. So sexy, but I really want a 24" neck and most the bodies I find are for 25.5" so conversion neck for the win I suppose.

Look for a third gen Jagmaster neck, they came stock with a short scale conversion neck. If you can find one they usually go fairly cheap. Then get a telemaster body routed for a strat heel and your good to go!
