to stay in subject, I managed to miss Arktau Eos - one of the finest ritual ambient bands in existence - because :grumpy: EVERYBODY wanted to be on stage that magical day when the World ended. :erm:

Ah man that sucks, I bet that would have been something to see!

I was on a trip through Europe with a ticket to see Radiohead in Berlin, but there was that tragic stage collapse in America a week earlier which killed their drum tech and others. Pretty terrible, I probably shouldn't feel too bad for myself considering the greater effect of the situation but another year went by that I haven't been able to see Radiohead :(

Well, shit. Just missed my first show of 2012. Mission of Burma in Cambridge. All set to go up last night, checked the listing, sold out. Go figure: legendary beloved band sells out special hometown show. SHOCKER!

 :picard:  :picard:  :picard:  :picard:  :picard:

Next time I step up, eat the handling charges, and buy in advance like every other person who wants to see the goddamned show.

I guess one major one that slipped my mind was MDF last year... my ride bailed out, so I decided not to order tickets. Hopefully going this year.

Me too buddy. Car died in the cold, and I was going to grab tickets at the door.

But the show was in 2013 :thumb:

Fucking Boris and Thurston Moore and Shabazz Palaces and a bunch of other awesome stuff. All at one festival...

Stupid work.

fuck, that's right...i missed Radiohead too, because they played at Outside Lands in SF and i HATE festivals with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns. though i'd go to Coachella just to see Blur, who i adore.

I saw Radiohead at Outside Lands in SF. While I do like their music, I was "meh". I think mostly because it was a festival.

Radiohead headlining their own gig is not to be missed, for what it's worth.

Going to probably miss George Clinton & PFunk. Maybe Aesop Rock and Murs, but it depends on the finance.
