EHX LPB-1: Hollow and shitty sounding. I hear the same cold overtone in every one of their pedals, I don't get it. Tubescreamer, and all variants thereof: Fuck this shit. Muffs: Honestly, can't get down. Hoof might be the exception. Tried so many. So so many. They always go away. I want to like them. It's not them, it's me. Second Voice: Love the idea in theory, bought it twice, I think I had it one day the first time before listing it and two days the second time. The Deluxe looks cool though!
Haaaate tubescreamers. And the only muff that I still own is my blunderbuss, which I love dearly
It did what it did well. Too well even. That was the moment I realized how much I loved the glitchy warble in common pitch shifters. I love the sound of my OC-2 with everything dimed specifically because it sounds so out of control. So it wouldn't replace anything only add on. Then they made the Freeze as it's own pedal and I started looking more into the POG2 for polyphonic octaving since +3&+4 octaves up is stupid and 3rds and 5ths are kinda pointless to me if they are not diatonic. Plus the POG2 didn't need a giant 6 button footswitch to utilize multiple presets.
i mean, it's nice sounding, but it's no better than any random 80s Japanese analog delay you can find for $100. I really wanted to love it, but I was just left feeling

Good to know. I always wanted to try One (since 2003 ) but Never got it. They are also Not really Common over here. But i still Love my varidrive and fatdrive though.
The Muff and the 808 I've owned were a big disapointment to me. I didn't and I still don't understand the love for those pedals.
Recently the false grail to me was the Zvex Super Duper...I honestly don't know what I really expected it would have done to my sound but nah, I sold it a week after... But I felt the most hate to myself when I bought a Malekko e300b six month ago and thought it will be pure magic...until I get it, found it messy and not so bright. I didn't know what to do with it but wanted to keep it (the robot is badass!!)...and now I place it pre dirt, every knobs full clockwise, "à donf" as we say here, and it's pure joy for evil/doomed/deep solos or riffs!!!! I come everytime I kick it!!!!
Out of the pedals I've had to hunt for I have never been completely happy with any of them. Sometimes not unhappy either but until now no pedal could save my soul.
I guess the worst disappointments were an EQD Hoof, it was my first ever Muff and after trying some more I have found I just don't jive with them. (Honourable exception: Creepy Fingers OD 850) And the second place goes to the Moog Delay. It was just too clear for analog character but analog circuitry, so it didn't have the assets of digital (hyper long delay time etc). I felt I had the worst of two worlds. At least that one could be sold without a loss.
