This is what you should do.

Quick question, for those of you who have Moogerfoogers on your boards, how are you powering them (if not the wall wart)? Will a one-spot with a reverse polarity converter do?

The power from my Freq Box is 9v 300mA... Could run them off a good power supply...

The reverse polarity matters though right? I can't just plug a 1spot in?

Right it's center positive but aren't there power supplies that have both -/+ tip outlets???

I wanted a fully transportable setup to play with anytime anywhere, so I took one of these-

some foam offcuts and a few toys and made this

Sorry for the horrible photo quality, but I have only the camera on my laptop. The Nintendo DS is running the Korg DS10 cartridge, fed into the Monotron Duo then into the Casper Drone Lab. That then goes into the Marshall MS2 Amp at the back. Everything sits super snug into the foam and I'd happily take it out and about, though it could be redone better.
It's tiny by my usual irresponsible standards, but having fewer things to play with means I'm getting deeper into each unit and really enjoying it. Plus it's small enough to sit comfortably on my lap.
It's a bit of an adventure trying to balance the levels with everything being in series, and there are so many filters in the chain it's insane. It is the best synth fun I've had in ages though, and the only real weak link is the DS battery life. Three hours jamming between charges is my guess, but I have a spare DS :)

Dude. Hell yes. That is a killer set up right there. I want a Drone Lab like nobody's business.

Drone Lab uuuuuuuuuuuuuurg

Also while I'm here, anybody know of a pedal-sized LP filter with LFO? Basically, something like the Monotron, except with 1/4" jacks and knobs I can actually turn during a hectic live set? Basically, something like the Clacktronics Warp Drive but, y'know, in production?

Never used any of these but there's the WMD Super Fatman, the Guyatone Ultron and the Subdecay Prometheus Deluxe.

Cool, thanks. I just remembered North Effects' clone of the Gristleizer, too, which is hella more affordable than the Endangered Audio take on the circuit...

Yessss you guys are right- it's freaking awesome. Alas, they're no longer making the boards at Casper :( BUT if you know how to use a soldering iron and love to drone then check out the Nova Drone http://casperelectronics.com/finished-p ... ales-page/

Musicpcb.com will sell you a gristlizer PCB if you're up to building it (not difficult). I have one and it's good fun, though I find the LFO clicking to be a bitch at a lot of the settings. That's probably to do with the external bias knob though.

Soldersqueeze I really like that Case Set-UP... My neighbor (who needs to join ILF soon :poke: ) is doing something similar... Cool to see a thought out set, maybe look for a mini Rolls mixer if you are having problems with the levels... :thumb:

This is the Synth Store on 11th in Austin...

It'd be just like the real world, but instead of drunk sex, we just sit around and have noise jams.
