I use the DL8 from Digitech. Not the longest loop time, but 30 seconds is sufficient for what I do. I make "Mantras", more or less, each being part of a greater whole. It's stupif simple, too. Especially since Skully modded it to where you don't have to keep your foot there, pressing down for the entire loop.

also apparently brian adams has an acoustic with a bigsby or something on it

Gretsch made an flat-top acoustic with a Bigsby at some point in the 90s or 00s...i've seen photos. the guy on the Gretsch Pages with one said he liked to take it to bluegrass jams just to fuck with peoples' heads

at this point i'd be delighted to play in an R.E.M. tribute band. actually, i'd prefer to sing in that setting because i have the same kind of angry-goat vibrato to my voice that Stipe does when i push.

right now i use a Head Rush and a Flashback in looper mode, switching between the inputs with a EB stereo volume/pan pedal. that's sufficient for the Fripp/Eno kind of looping compositions i've been doing. if i start doing the me + looper + programmed drums one-man shoegaze thing i'm contemplating, i'll need something i can store long loops on so i reckon i'll get some kind of Boss dealio at that point.

digitech solo w/ extra pedal, and hardwire looper/delay. both of which don't QUITE do what i want to do. i'm sure the expensive as shit ones do this, but right now its just kinda a weird process. like i wanna be able to switch between 3 or 4 loops instataneously, to sorta build up song structures, like dustin wong, but realistically speaking i'd need to double up on the digitech solo+extra pedal to do that/something like it.

I've thought about putting my Flashblack in a true bypass looper so that I can turn the one loop on and off (turning it off causes the loop to be erased.) Also, I find the output of the regular signal through the Flashback is really low , because it's set to whatever level I had the repeats of the delays set to. It'd be nice to blend in more dry signal with the looper.

Say, I think my Samurai Switch does those things

I WANNA BE IN A POST-SHOEGAZE-INSTRUMENTAL NOISE BAND DAMMIT!

Actually I just want a drummer that has a sense of swing. Right now I'm playing with one of my old friends on drums, and while he's pretty good, it's like playing with John Philips Sousa.

Thread jack!
I got the new Vox lil' looper. The loops work great and are easy to erase, overdub and synch. It doesn' t have any way to save the loops, but it is pretty good for live looping. The onboard effects are tricky to use, but I ignore that shit altogether anyway... all in all good value for the money.
