No, you're totally right. I should have worded it better. Maybe it's not the same, but in the realm of fuzz, circuit A can pull of a certain sound better/easier than circuit B, and circuit B can create sounds that circuit C could never do, and circuit D is really only good for one specific sound. That's more of what I meant. There are guys here, myself included, that are drawn more to vintage style fuzz (Muffs, Fuzz Faces, Benders, etc), and other guys who are more interested in new takes on the fuzz genre (TAFM, Frazz, Fuzzhugger, Fairfield, etc). That doesn't mean they can't make their TAFM sound like a Muff. I hope that makes more sense.
