A lot of their bands past and present blow my mind.

It scares me because if they're not making money, then I don't think anyone putting out this kind of music is...

They should just go the Revelation Records/RevHQ route. They kinda hinted at it, but it shouldn't have to die once they've sold off all their inventory for pennies. Hydra Head earned their position as being one of the biggest baddest well known labels for this corner of the music industry. Understandably if the financial burden is too great, you can stop dumping money into risky releases. But with a name that well known and respected, you could still exist for distro/merch and change the business.

PS, Botch should do a reunion show to raise money for them. It's the right thing to do.

I had no idea Chino was working with some of the ISIS dudes. Color me excited.

And at least the Hydra Head dudes didn't just disappear like the Leafhound guy.

It's called Palms, and they're signed to Ipecac.

Deftones is also a band that I've never really gotten into, but should try. I'm assuming the albums to get are Around the Fur and White Pony?

White Pony's the "important one," and it also stands out as the least time sensitive album they've released. I enjoy all of their records, to be sure, but they're definitely harder to appreciate retroactively.

My favorite HH release is definitely Harvey Milk's Special Wishes. So ridiculously fucking awesome.
Maybe partying will help.

I'm not too educated with the Deftones discography, but Diamond Eyes is an incredible album. I definitely recommend that one.

My favorite Harvey Milk album. Nobody I know listens to it either. It's all the first and last ones with them. Silly fools.

I just got my Grab Bag, and they really went all out - I'm highly tempted to order another one. If you're on the fence, I say do it!

I once listened to the entire Khanate discography in order at work. Pretty sure I gave myself brain damage.

This is really too bad.
Seriously wanted to pick up a copy of Australasia... It would come to about 50ish dollars if I include shipping. That's a bit too steep.

Dudes went all out on this thing... and they really do pay attention to what you leave in the comments.

*strokes oxbow and big biz album art posters adoringly*

Six of the ten records I haven't heard before, either, so I've got me some listening to do.
