TODAY I ACHIEVED TOTAL BASS DOMINATION.
Traded a few of my wares to our newest dealer for a FUCKING AMPEG CLASSIC 8X10. This will probably be my bass AND guitar amp live. Much better mids/highs than my 15 cabs.

I started to learn a little about the ModFactor today...DEEP.
I really like it way more than I thought I would.

Holy fucking shit, this thing sounds just like I thought it would. If only this guy hadn't put flats on it. I'll have to get a decent set of rounds to throw on this bad boy for tomorrow night's gig, and then I'll get a proper set of circle k's next week.

But how come the bridge pickup is all deep in that ashtray?

That's how the old 4001s look when you take off the pickup cover, which is fine with me because I would have removed it anyway. You can get a black bezel to cover up the holes, but it's not too big of a deal to me.

I threw the serial number in one of those lookup databases, apparently this bad boy is from '76. And it's got a good amount of digs and chips, which is perfect; I always prefer my gear to be a little beat up.
