Start complaining of groin pain.
Get home and GET THAT SHIT
I knew a dude who peed his pants at work because that was the only way he could think of to get out of his shift. He wanted to go see the Pixies. It worked. YMMV.

Stubby picks! I used to use those when I was a wee lad, I think I liked the mini ones best. Been only using Dunlop Jazz III black picks for many years, and always always ALWAYS carry two in my pocket... even though I only play with a pick maybe 10% of the time.
I always have gear shipped to work. DO NOT WANT TO WAIT. Plus we have amps here!

Yeah, that happened to me once, and I didn't live in a good neighborhood back then. But this seller shipped it adult signature required, which is fine because my wife was there.

I used to do that. Unfortunately, my work has sent out memos specifically telling us not to do that, they don't want to assume the liability for employee's personal packages.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Suddenly the downsides of switching from work-at-home to work-in-office are made starkly clear.
You're lucky I'm so shitty at remembering directions - if I could get back to your house, I'd be there in a second, telling your wife that you wanted me to bring the Ric to you at work.
Of course, I'd give it back... eventually.
Alas, I can't navigate my way out of a paper bag without directions, so your NBD is safe.
I might try a Tri Stubby 1.5mm or something. The thickest pick I've got is a purple Dunlop 2.00mm. It sounds too dull and it just moves all over the place when I pluck (it's also small, but still). nad, ATM I'm using some red XL Jazz III. Is there some actual difference in the black nylon (?) version? I really like the XL JIII but the actual pick feels a bit too small.

I tried a set of the red Jazz III picks and I remember them not feeling as nice as the black. They were more clicky sounding I think? It has been awhile, I don't remember the exact details but I went back to black and never thought of the red again. Probably not a huge difference between the two, odds are it was all IN MY HEAD.
I think I used a black Jazz II at one point but that was only because the Gweeter Center were out of III at the time. I have no idea though, I literally haven't even tried a different pick in 15 years. I went through oodles of different ones before then, but funny how picks can be one of those Find It, Keep It once you get the right kind.

can post ya one or two if you want to try em. Ok I play guitar but I lurk in this thread... don't use them that much these days - hard to solo with them, but they have the BEST tone I've heard for rhythm... man, do I suck if I have favourite picks for lead and rhythm?
You talking to me? You talking to me? 'Cause there's nobody else around. If you are, thanks man. But I think I'll just grab a small pack when I next order from Thomann. I'd feel bad if I didn't like them. Otherwise, ignore this. Nothing to see, no embarassing post here.

I started a new band last night. Just bass and drums so far, heavy/spacey things with some blast beats thrown in for good measure. It rocked nuts and I look forward to doing more. More. MORE!
