Re: Pedals that have Grown on You!
I loved the algal bloom when I first got it, but then I didn't like it that much for a while. Not sure if I changed how I was using it or just suddenly noticed it was awesome, but now I totally love it again. I don't think I've ever bought something and not liked it that much straight away, I get crazy honeymoon love for everything (and only buy things I'm fairly sure I'll like), but a few things I stop liking as much later on and maybe this happens.

+1 on the RAT - Ive onl recently explored the low gain sounds - gain on 10 o clock, up the volume and there it is.

Mid-Fi Demo Tape Fuzz
At first I was like wtf? I' almost traded it.
But now I'm in love with it. It's here to stay.

Definitely my Magnus Modulus. I think at first I didn't spend enough time learning how to use all those interactive knobs, and admittedly I still don't use all of it's features, but it's sticking around. Not only does the delay sound amazing, but something about that boost just fattens and tears open my fuzzes!

I'd have to say the Algal Bloom. It was never really an issue of disliking it, but I thought it was just okay when I first tried it on my practice amp at home, but then I threw it on my board to try it out at a band practice and it sounded fucking awesome through my rig. Now it has a well deserved spot on my board.

Yeah I could see that. Octave fuzzes in general can prove to be difficult sometimes.

EQD Rainbow Machine.
The most unique sound I have come across, every time I play it I get this weird quarky feeling but in a good way. I have been jamming and a few times said (woah!).
I know I would really miss it if I sold it.

I want to like it because it's pink and says rainbows and magic but it seems too gimmicky to me from the demos... I guess I'll have to spend some time with one...

Exactly. I hardly use the full bore sounds anymore. Those lower range distortion sounds without much or any treble filtered out and it's like a perfect, jangly power pop dirt sound. And close to no-gain and high volume works better for me as that OD amp pusher than a TS type pedal ever has. There's practically no bad sound on mine.
