If I had $800 and was able to discern whether they'd ship this to me or not, this would be mine
I've been hunting the -550 version for a few years now.
Otherwise I'll just save and save and save for an Electrical...maybe...one day.

They are wonderful.
If I could afford ANY eight stringer and/or twelve stringer I really wanted...
Electric Guitar Company custom 12-stringer in aluminum
Rickenbacker8-string 4003, these were - for a short time - a readily available custom shop option in the nineties. There's one in FInland. Unfortunately, don't have a glue who has it now.
B.C.Ric custom shop Bitch. Looks really beautiful and all, but... isn't only expensive, but overpriced IMHO too.

I've thought about getting a cheap, but decent shortscale bass like a Squier Mustang something.

nothing wrong with that, I hope my first bass would have been as good as they are.

I actually owned an epi eh-0 for a little bit.
What are some other decent shortscale basses under 300usd? I want to do some Of Montreal kind of multi-bass harmonies.
