It was just so flat and lifeless. I had to compress the ever loving hell out of it to get any kind of pleasing harmonics. yet people still swear by 'em, i dunno :idk:

They swear by them because The Edge has every DBA pedal, so they think they are good because of that. :erm:

Yeah a guitar magazine ran a 4 or 5 page article on DBA and that Oliver guy said The Edge came over and bought one of each of his pedals and used them on the new U2 album. I can't say if he actually did, because I don't care for U2... :idk:

I GAS'd hard for an Octave Clang for a long time. Finally got a deal on one and really liked it, until I opened it up one day and realized it was pretty much just a $300 Jawari clone.

I agree on the IO Supreme. Great pedal. Fundamental sound is raw, aggressive, a bit dark, fuzzy as the gain is turned up. The two channels, one with a Germanium clipping diode and the other with six options including a couple of fuzzes and an envelope controlled trem make that this pedal pretty flexible from boost to choked off fuzz to variously eq'd overdrive. Pretty deep pedal. Stacks well with other overdrives and fuzz.

I like it alot and I couldn't care less that the Edge or NiN uses them. Don't care about either one though I like My Bloody Valentine and I know that Kevin Shields has a bunch of DBA pedals along with his big collection of Devi creations.

I am wondering if anyone has compared the trem element on the IOS to the one on the Rocket? Are they similar or really different in how they behave. I love how by combining the two channels on the IOS you can get the trem to be on all the time, after the note barely starts to decay or at the end of a long sustained note.

Looks fairly well built inside but I hope I never have problems because all I keep hearing is negatives about customer service, build quality, and quality control....never dealt with anybody at DBA and I hope I never need to.

I've only bought one DBA pedal and I highly doubt I'll ever get one again. spent $225 for a brand new soundsaw and it didn't work out of the box. Since I bought it from another website I think they helped put the pressure on DBA to fix it in a timely matter. Also I had to pay to ship it back which I thought was ridiculous. For how much they cost they sure aren't made very well.

I purchased an Interstellar OD /w Master vol late last year. Really like it, in fact it's become my favorite od. If you play quiet & into a clean amp, it's not that great, but I use it at loud volumes with a little break up from the amp...

Had some problems thoug, as the switch wasn't properly installed. E-mailed them, and they responded real quick & were real helpful. Didn't have to send the pedal anywhere though...

Anyway, too bad to hear things aren't quite working out. Cool products they have.
