i bet it looks great next to a Silver Rose...my new pedalboard could be a palate from home depot :hello:

also learned cats can't resist Temptations treats :hobbes:

I did like sounds in the demo though...

i also like the sounds. you guys don't complain when somebody you like uses an enclosure the size of an Austin-Healey. and given that from the package in the demo video they're working out of Poland and thus English would be their second or third language at best y'all could cut them some slack on their English usage. don't be so mean.

i agree there.

i won't be the first one to say that it sounds pretty different from the fuck... but to me it sounds pretty different from the fuck. i really don't think that demo (or any we've seen yet) really does the pedal justice as you can hear some pretty cool sounds at the last 5 seconds or so after the drums cut out. it would be nice to see a "standard" demo and toss in another pedal or 2 to show how the mill reacts to those as well. at this point it sounds to me like a sample and hold tremolo set to a fast rate, which is a cool idea nonetheless, but again it's hard to tell with the demos. :idk:

I agree, those demo are confusing.

Agreed, I thought the sounds got interesting towards the end of the video and I'd like to see an explanation of what it does. It did sound like a sample cut up and played back at random rates or something, but maybe that's not all it does? And maybe it does something different? Definitely need a proper demo, I don't get the point of 'teaser' videos like this AT ALL. Except to make people talk about it or something? But I dislike that, and the more I hear about the pedal without proper demos the more annoyed at it I get.

Hi all,

Thank you for being tolerant on the English, the thing with the grain and harvesting was with a smile at the end;) Regarding your questions on video-reviews etc we are still waiting for the professionals to finish their part of job. We don't like pushing our opinion through self-made videos and would like to supply you with the fair comments. For now we are waiting for a possible one more video from Music Radar. UK Guitarist will feature a review as well. One unit has just reached Premier Guitar offices. Pretty soon a video demo will be released by Italian Accordo.it / Chitarra magazine and we too are looking forward to hear what they will say. For sure we will make an update. Once again thank you for the comments!
As for Farmer's Mill itself it's pretty simple - while you keep the button pressed the sound is being damaged. It's not a tremeolo, of course we've been working on such solution but it simply didn't sound right. Please refer to the mp3 samples on our website in the Experience tab. The drive comes from the Budda Superdrive Series II amp while the pedal is the only thing on the signal's way. It sounds different when put after the drive etc yet we leave this case to be solved by the reviewers. I hope you can understand our policy on providing fair information. The prices are due to change once we become sure about the Farmer's future (Thumbs up!).

Here's a quote from Pietro Paolo Falco of Accordo provided by the editor:
"This thing really does its job! My first impression was "how the hell does the Rate knob work??", but once you understand that you can't give chaos a traditional definition of tempo, everything becomes clear, and I'm really enjoying it! I must admit, testing Farmer's Mill isn't easy: it's not like testing an overdrive, where you can play a couple of licks and that's it, the video is done. This is going to be a challenge, and it's so damn funny! The test is almost done now, but I'll need a few more days for video production. Of course we will get in touch with you when everything is online. Thank you very much for letting me test this crazy thing!"

all best

Thanks,

We will be back once these are available. As for the pricetag we'll probably stop adding gold and diamonds to the paint coating;) We're working to have it much more affordable. Our first round of pedals is already gone and hopefully it will let us reduce the price once more Mill's are produced. If you have any pricetag suggestions these are always welcome (here or via email, you can contact jedru[at]crushsound.com) It's difficult to fit USA and EU markets at the same time but trust us that we will do our best. It would have been much easier if we had "re-discovered" delay/chorus etc;)

Best regards
