Yeah, I've seen that picture floating around the internet. I bet only 3 or 4 of those pedals ever get played.

I don't think so -- he gigs, he's writing a book on the history of these things too. He's pretty much the expert on gear from that period. Nice guy too.modernage wrote:Yeah, I've seen that picture floating around the internet. I bet only 3 or 4 of those pedals ever get played.
Can't imagine what battery change day looks like round his house though

I just emailed my wife this picture with the subject line: "I don't have too many pedals."

Re: Vintage Fuzz Lounge
Sorry for off topic but I fell this may be the best place to ask this question. There is a Shin-ei companion fuzz (fy-2) for sale locally near me. The seller is asking $200. Would you say that's a good price? I felt like it was pretty good since the one on eBay is going for $500 (
) but I thought I'd ask the professionals

Re: Vintage Fuzz Lounge
the most i ever paid for a shin-ei fy-2 was £80 for a minty fresh one
the last one i bought was approx £15 (still needs a fix though)
the ebay BIN prices are stupid right now, check completed listings to see that they're going cheaper than ever lately, $200 isn't bad for a clean pedal in the USA but there's no shortage of those pedals
