Re: favorite arpeggio?
I dig the revision, its just arpeggiation is a pretty massive thing, imo. so basically ANYTHING anyone can think of will have a few people saying "hey, how about this"

ya no worries. i definitely appreciate the suggestions. originally l negged an expression pedal (assuming it would control the rate) because i thought tapping the tempo would trump trying to find the right one with the expression pedal.

Holy BAllS!
I love this. And I'd encourage a 1/4 note arab arpeggio as well. Is there specific gamelan scales? I'd like one of those maybe. And the theme from A Love Surpreme. Or from Miles Davis' So What (opening Kind Of Blue). An overtone scale? Just a couple of ideas.
The hold function pretty much sells it to me. I could do without the normal arpeggiator, but that hold thing is genius. Now if there was a hold and an expression hold mode, my head would explode.

Hold mode looks insanely fun. I want to run that through an infinite repeats delay and trem.

Will this play nicely with bass? (I would guess not, since tracking would probably be a pain.)

It does track bass. maybe not quite as well but at this point it tracks down to ~30 Hz which is a several tones below standard tuned 4 strings. I play bass mostly myself so this is definitely something i would like it to achieve. The tracking range is about 30-3500 Hz which more than straddles the fundamental range of a guitar, although without as much of a safety margin on bass.
edit: also it is pretty good at knowing whether it is tracking or not. So when the frequencies go too low, it mutes instead of dumping out garbage.
I will make make some more sound clips soon. I just had my last mid term exam yesterday so i was like. finally a minute to record this, maybe too half assed but i think you can get the idea of it.
