anyone ever build a home made with hinges?

What I would like is 3 board sections that I can swing out on the left and right, not sure this is easy or possible.

Totally doable. Do you want the pedals to stay attached when it's folded? That's a bit more complicated, but still doable. For now...

Decide how big you want it when completely open. Cut/get a piece of wood that size.
Now cut the first piece of wood in half, shortways (this is how big it will be when folded closed). Take one of the halves, and cut it in half, the same way.
You should now have 3 pieces of wood. One (main) twice as wide as the other two.
Attach, one of the small halves to each side of the main board with your hinges. Make sure to use the right ones; don't want it swinging the wrong way, or not at all.
You be fine to put velcro strips down this as usual. They will easily fold with the board.

Now, if you want one that can be used as a case as well...that would be the shit actually. Open it up and your pedals are just right there from one side to the other.

yeah I want it to swing in so that I have a big straight pedalboard to carry and then the wings swing horizontally inward so you are surrounded by pedals when playing, want it to be relatively plug and play with all the pedals securely mounted

Currently I am looking at three boards and I know if I start playing anywhere setup is going to be a nightmare
