Well a while ago i started a thread on drop tuning to octave down drop D, it was an epic failure of a thread that ended in frustration and bitterness.... okay well that might be a slight exageration... but anyways i've been looking for an Agile 8 for a while and i finally found one on ebay that was just what i was looking for, with the correct mods done, with the updated bridge and bridge placement (necessary from correct drop tuning intonation on these guitars), a helpful and informative seller, the perfect price, and a completely custom made pickup to boot!

The guitar is 28.625" scale (i really wanted a 30" but their alot rarer and more expensive) its setup with .11-.80's and a step down from the normal f# tuning, so it's all ready setup in 8 string E standard tuning, which is perfect except the low string i wanted in D. I talked to the guy and there is plenty of saddle adjustment left to intonate the low string and he's upsized the strings to increase the tension all ready and he said in his opinion it should easily be able to handle the low D tuning

(all though i might need to upsize slightly to a .84 low string) i'm super excited as i will be using this in a 2 man drone project and it brings me back up out of the guitar gutter as i got this guitar because i had finally found a 3 humbucker white Gibson V and when it finally came in i pulled it out and the headstock had a horizontal crack starting at the nut and going for 1.5-2" down the neck under the fret board on both sides which caused the fretboard to lift 1/8".... needless to say i was not happy but the seller was really cool and fedex picked it up and sent it back and i got a full refund (the seller claimed it as damaged in shipping even though there was no damage to the box, but it really wasnt packed properly IMO). I will post pics when it arrives next week! Trolls feel free to flame!
