We did this a couple times in highschool. It was awesome, and no one ever got in trouble.

I wear double flares. Hate messing with all those weird other ones with o-rings and whatnot. Don't know if you've ever seen the rubber-like squishy ones, but they stayed in my ears better than anything else. Plus, they are soft, so if you roll over or get hit or something, your plug doesn't hurt you. Don't think they make them in 3/4" though so I stick with my clear acrylic ones. Everyone thinks they are mirrors or something, then they realize they are seeing right through my ear.

I missed the auction I had been watching of an almost-new SM57 + $100 XLR to USB adapter for a total of $120.

BY FOUR MINUTES. BECAUSE I WAS IN THE SHOWER AND FORGOT.

I met up with Donovan and some other friends last night. The plan was for us and our friend Alexandra to go to Steak and Shake and have a quiet hang out. Sounds good right? It ended up being seven of us going to some dude's apartment so the girls could smoke out of his hookah. That's stupid and lame, but whatever, I'm down to hang out.

So we go there and this guy pulls out his phone and plays some Less Than Jake mp3s. Alex makes fun of him, and he makes a remark to her like "yeah I grew up on ska, sorry I don't listen to your crazy punk shit like Rancid or whatever." So already I'm pissed - in this guy's mind, Rancid is the hardest shit ever and just too extreme for his tastes? (Not to mention seventeen-year-old Alex is less into Rancid and more into the Clash, the Jam, and other great bands this grown-ass man has never heard of)

He continues "I like Streetlight Manifesto too, but they're more ska-core. They're just on a whole different level." Now, that's bullshit, but I'm a nice guy, so I decide to try and relate with him and join the conversation. I said "I wouldn't consider them ska core, but they're definitely one of the best ska bands." And his immediate dismissal was "Nah man, all the best ska bands broke up a long time ago, or changed their name and became punk bands."

I didn't say anything after that, because I was stumped; what the fuck could he have been talking about? I mean, American Steel was the first thing that came to mind - they became an org-core band, but didn't change their name. Most of the important ska bands of the nineties are still together and touring. And this guy, a fan of Less Than Jake (not even "good" LTJ), definitely doesn't listen to any obscure ska bands I've never heard of - he probably hasn't even heard MU330. AND I DON'T EVEN FUCKING LISTEN TO SKA ANYMORE.

I didn't even think to ask him for any examples. I stayed quiet for the rest of the night while he changed it to Coheed and Cambria and my seventeen year old friend continued to make fun of him for his terrible music. Oh well.....

I don't feel like making a list, so I'll just use a one-word summary:

FUCK.

Urban Dictionary lulz:
"The stereotypical look of the “orgcore” punker, as depicted in Rob Dobi's satirical website yourscenesucks.com, is an arm tatooed, flannel shirt wearing, bearded, pabst blue ribbon drinking, 20 to 30-something year old."

There's no way people seriously use "org-core".

Depends what you mean. I think the only people that use the term seriously are the ones that think of it as an insult rather than a genre.

As a genre name it's rubbish. Wtf is org supposed to mean?
