Last drive I used on bass wassss a Catalinbread SFT. Sounded pretty good.

I bought a Hotcake with XLF option specifically for this purpose, and I never ended up trying it on bass. :picard:

I can say with confidence using it on a friends bass and my guitar that it sounds great in both applications and stacking it with a fuzz only makes it sound better.

Another SFT vote...does the stoner thing really well, probably my favorite bass OD.

I've got a Marshall Guv'Nor GV-2 with a cap change that I really like... Nowhere near as sexy as that Dwarfcraft Internet, but it does the trick for something I don't use a ton of. STILL WANT INTERNET. There goes the GA$.

It's funny... I have one and always forget I have it intill I actually need it :idk: I sort'a wish the "Darkness" was adjustable because a lot of the time I would like it either brighter or darker then the things are set to...

Arc Flash is a good option.

I personally like the Algal Bloom more. It grabs the notes more, has more inherent low end, and isn't overly in your face. I put that with my Chalice for an evil sound.

Running the AB into an envelope filter makes a really awesome, boutique bassballs sound.

+1! Love the Algal Bloom. I thought I didn't but the more I play with it, the better it sounds. Works great with other fuzzes and filters!

Thanks for all the suggestions but it looks like he's probably going to go with the And Ardvarks. :)

ibanez phat head is a little noisy but it sounds great after a think fuzz like an AB synth w/bass mod. Its cheap too, so when it sh*ts the bed you can throw it at your drummer for fun.
