Definitely not similar at all. I think the only connection is the instrumentation and that's not a really good way to compare bands.

I love You're a Woman, I'm a Machine. it's a fantastic album for singing along while driving around with the windows down. you have to play it loud though; it's not a headphones album.

but the only time I saw DFA1979 live was at the pitchfork festival and the sound was terrible.

This is what I was trying to say. I just got it all muddled for the sake of exactness.

True that. I have the same problem with Last Exit.

That is a great album, I'm psyched they're playing shows again. I also saw them at Pitchfork and sound was shit, but I've seen them at a small club show and they sounded great, just pummeled the audience with distorted synth-bass goodness.

I remember hearing that Jesse Keeler was working with Queens Of The Stone Age but it never came to fruition, scheduling conflict or something. That would've been awesome though...

Three more live dates:

Thursday, May 5th, 2011 – London HMV Forum – London, England

Friday, May 6th, 2011 – Donaufestival – Krems, Austria

Friday, May 27th, 2011 – Sasquatch Festival – Seattle, WA

It seems like they're all over the festival circuit which sucks because I never go to festivals(except Summerfest, but that's more about the experience). However, if they did Lollapalooza I would seriously consider going for the first time.

I know, I hope this changes, plus they are nowhere near me geographically, yet. Lollapalooza is plenty close so I'd do that. Much prefer a normal headlining tour though, crossing the ol' fingers.

I remember when Max Weinberg jumped in to play drums with these guys on Conan. Weird.

Fudge Yeah! That was sweet. Too bad that vid is no longer on youtube.

I'll put the updated concert dates on the first page in a second here. Why did I think I had started this thread??? I'm losing it guys. Senile at 21.
