well it's way more pop oriented, in the way that runners four and green cosmos were, it's a grower. I'll tell you as much.

I've never heard Deerhoof, but, based on what little I know about the band, I'm assuming it's an issue with Satomi's voice?

Pretty much. Greg Saunier is one of the best drummers I've ever heard, and I'm really into the guitar style that they have, but I just cant stand what she brings to the band.
