Re: What music are you diggin' NOW???
I know I've mentioned it in this very thread, but I'm seriously falling in love all over again with The Psychedelic Furs on the s/t debut album...
It's just good, dammit! (If you like "Post-Punk" a la The Chameleons, Echo & the Bunnymen and their ilk) There's really only 1-2 songs that get a little boring after constant, repeated listens... But even those aren't bad songs...

Psych Furs rank very high on my list, thanks to my bandmate who reintroduced me to them...
I'm pretty psyched for what my son's been listening to lately - he's not even two yet, so e-i-e-i-o and the alphabet song are pretty high on his regular rotation, but two of his other favorite songs are "Immigrant Song" and "Kashmir" by Zepplin. Not bad for a 2 year old! He's started asking for "Immigrant Song" by imitating Plant's "ahh-ahhhhhhh-ah!" vocal line. And tonight at dinner, he made us play Kashmir three times in a row!
If he's starting off with Zep, I'm hoping that he'll be rocking out to the Stooges, Television, TV on the Radio, Battles and who knows what by his fourth birthday... and then we can buy him his first DE pedals...
... and then I can, uh, "borrow" them periodically...

I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

Actually, he's from Europa... and from the future. Humans get there, start messin around with the organisms found in Europa's oceans and at least 100 years ago, in future time, Agatha was created.
Can u recommend one of their albums besides 13 hedgehogs and cell-scape?

The only other ones I have are Charlie and Bambi's Dilemma. Both are very good. Unless you're prone to seizures.

I think "Talk, talk, talk" will always be one of my all-time favorite albums. Played the grooves off of it when it was first released, and I'm still not sick of it (well, maybe the *re-recorded* singles version of Pretty in Pink gets a little old after a while; the original has a nice raw quality that fits in nicely). Matter of fact, I think I'll go grab another copy from iTunes after I finish this, now that I think of it. Thanks, Ray!

Oh yeah! Found a copy of the Teardrop's "Kilimanjaro" in a cutout bin when I was a teenager. I loved that one, but dont' think their follow-up's lived up to their potential.
I've only kept up with Cope sporadically since then. He's got an absolutely brilliant pop sensibility (right up there with more successful artists like Andy Partridge) but I think he takes himself a bit too seriously at times. Makes me alternate between wanting to hum along with the music and wanting to cuff him one in the mouth.
Otherwise, really great stuff!

"Right on!" and all that!
The s/t and "Talk" are my definitley may favorite albums. And I really love the album version of Pretty in Pink... It's easily one of my top 5 favorites from those two albums... I never did see the PiP movie/hear the soundtrack, so I haven't actually heard the re-recorded version!
