thanks for the additional GC details, Spiteface. feel free to weigh in any old time, Blurillaz :hello: i wasn't trying to be comprehensive, and would love additional details particularly as regards effects. i gather that Graham used a lot of other stuff in the studio besides the stuff in his live setup.

Also the chorus on the Chemical World riff is a really mild flange/vibrato then?

jfk rewired the 4001 to bypass the tone control and the neck pickup. all that tone comes from overloading his cabs with those old solid state acoustic heads

He recorded a lot of the first album with a Grabber, and to match the output with the 4001, he bypassed the knobs.

I'm pretty sure that my favorite band, Sigur Rós, doesn't use pedalboards. Most of their stuff is rack stuff (Alesis Quadraverbs, etc), but iirc Jonsi only uses a Tube Screamer before a reverb unit.

One of my favourite setups ever: Brad Laner of Medicine

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I've read different interviews in which he confirms the use of a 4-track for his main distortion. Diagram is from guitargeek.com

Yep, I've read that before. The strange thing is that it can actually sounds pretty good...well if this is it? Print the legend and all that. :idk:
