Have you compared it to a fuzz factory? Also, what are your thoughts on the noise swash? I'm planning on building either. Thanks :thu:
it's really extreme and has lots of texture but i don't know if i'd call it versatile...maybe versatile in the extreme realm but you wouldn't use it for a "nice" fuzz sound. yes it oscillates. yes...it's trashy and works well on chords. i love the fuzz factory...and it does compare to it in some ways but the atoner is more fuzzy (if you can believe that) and it has that squelchy quality where you can dial in fuzz on the verge of exploding. i use both... alot. i don't have the noise swash so i can't say, but it's on my list of boxes to have before i die. for sure

most people i know that have a 4ms pedal either don't own a guitar or considers rock music to be an anathema; primarily speaking, 4ms pedals are NOT for "straight up guitar players," uncreative types & others who think inside-the-box. IMO...
Hi. First post here.....I'm not a guitarist, and have just found the world of pedals/noise boxes recently. I've actually sold off a bit of my modular synth to get some of this stuff. Really loving the creative stuff that's out there...
4ms - I'm in love with these guys. I have the Noise Swash, the souped up midi triwave (which is being modded a little by Dan), and I have a bend matrix coming. I eye the nocto loco and the atoner with much lust....
The only one I've had serious time with so far is the Noise Swash. I actually find myself liking it most as a plain noise box. Ghastly sounds come out of it. It's great for processing other stuff too, but there is something about the sounds it makes by itself that always makes me want to use it by itself.
There stuff is amazing in that it both sounds really raucous, and really warm in a vintage analog way. They don't sound cheap. Probably again coming from the perspective of a non-guitar player - lots of knobs, lots of ways to mess with the sound. They look great and they are built really solidly. Dan is a first rate guy.

exactly. He told me the toggle that switches mono/stereo outs is dead but the mono side still works - I'm thinking replace switch have sweet panning phaser trem noise for cheap
If it's beyond me, I'll put it up for sale here for what I paid.
Got the trem/panneur last night. The fast/slow toggle is broken (still need to replace) only other problem I found was the output wire was mostly off of the switch. 30 seconds later it was working - unsynced staereo trem is pretty cool.
It's a mess inside, boards are built on cardboard - parts stuffed thru then soldered ptp. Glad it wasn't more than that wire.
