The amount of stages affects how many notches are in the signal. 8 stage phasers have a much more resonant and intense sweep than a 4 stage.

Ah thanks for the replies guys,
I thought the sweep of a Small Stone was deep enough for me, and I guess that is only 4 stages. :idk:

Yeas, I have the 4 stage small stone sweep myself. Wouldn't mind having a couple more stages I guess

An envelope-controlled phaser that can have the envelope control either the depth of the LFO or phase shift frequency (at least I think that's what it is). Awesome.
