so out of curiosity i was thinking about momentary feedback switches like the one on the eau claire thunder which is pretty coo is something like thus done via the circuit or is it wired like a feedback looper internally feeding itself into itself? a difficult task to add onto pedlulz?
Yeah, it's the latter. Pretty easy stuff. You just use one side of a momentary switch (if you're talking about the momentary X-wing DPDT) to make feedback loop connection.

All you need for this is SPST. If you want an LED to come on when you press the switch, use a DPDT, and on the other pole of the switch have connect the ground of the LED.
