Momentary Feedback Switch

so out of curiosity i was thinking about momentary feedback switches like the one on the eau claire thunder which is pretty coo
is something like thus done via the circuit or is it wired like a feedback looper internally feeding itself into itself?
a difficult task to add onto pedlulz?

Yeah, it's the latter. Pretty easy stuff. You just use one side of a momentary switch (if you're talking about the momentary X-wing DPDT) to make feedback loop connection.

All you need is a SPST momentary switch.

It just connects the output back to the input. A little series resistance will help it from being too over the top, or in some cases, unusable.

You could even do a pot or trimmer in series with the switch to have the amount of feedback preset to a desired amount.

Yeah, it's pretty simple. The only issue is that those X Wing switches are pretty famous for being kinda crappy. There's other options, though.

That said, I've used several X-Wings and never had them break. Maybe people just burn them up. They're just big. Blah.

how would one add an led into the mix

All you need for this is SPST. If you want an LED to come on when you press the switch, use a DPDT, and on the other pole of the switch have connect the ground of the LED.
